The Bad Side of Halloween...

So, Callie had a great time trick or treating, but was really tired afterwards. Nick and I knew she wouldn't last the whole time walking, so we had been pushing a stroller the whole time as well. As we were walking back to my sister's house, Callie was in the stroller, checking out her loot. (she got a couple of glowsticks that she thought were pretty cool) And then, as we're walking in the road, she tumbles face first out of the stroller! We didn't hit any bumps or anything! We think she may have leaned too far forward when looking in her bucket and just fell forward. She got a nice cut lip and scratches on her nose, which she now keeps pulling the scab off of! These pictures are right after she fell and the day after. Neither of them really do justice to how cut up she got, but they give you an idea. She was our little tough girl though. She cried for only 5 minutes, and didn't cry the rest of the night!

This last picture brings me to Callie's other source of pain, the puppy kennel. My sister has two dogs, one of which is a puppy, so he gets to sleep in his kennel each night. Callie thought it looked pretty cozy, and got stuck in here! In trying to get her out, her poor back got a pretty good scratch on it, which she wasn't too happy about. Oh well, luckily she won't remember any of this next year. Or probably by next week :)

  1. awww poor thing! What a harsh tumble! And that's so sad/funny that she got stuck in the kennel. It was funny until I read that it hurt her back and she wasn't happy about it.
